Importing Aliexpress reviews to Shopify stores has never been easier. You can do that using a simple bookmark button.

But how?

Here is the step-by-step guide on importing Aliexpress reviews to Shopify using a bookmark button:

Step 1: Go to Aliexpress Import

First, log in to your Shopify account and select ReviewXpo from the Apps section on the left pane.

It will open the ReviewXpo dashboard with a new menu. From the menu, click on Import & Export to get some more options.

From the options, click on Aliexpress Import, which will open a new page. The page already briefly describes the importing process.

Still, here we will be discussing the process in detail.

Step 2: Add the bookmark button

On this page, you will find the Import to ReviewXpo button under the Step 1 section. Drag and drop it to the bookmark bar on your browser.

But your browser does not have a bookmark bar? Not a problem.

Press Command+Shift+B on Mac and CTRL+Shift+B on Windows to display the bookmark bar.

Step 3: Import reviews to Shopify from Aliexpress

Now, go to Aliexpress and find the desired product from which you want to import the reviews.
Then click on the Import to ReviewXpo button from the bookmark bar. A popup box will appear on the screen.

Here, type the product name where you want to import the reviews into your Shopify store. Select the product once you find it.

Now, select how many reviews you want to import at max. The app allows you to upload a maximum of 100 reviews at a time.

Then, select which ratings you want to import. We recommend going for 4 stars and above, as positive reviews enhance the chance of sales.

After that, click on check the Auto Publish box to ensure the reviews are automatically published.

If you want to receive additional emails regarding the import, then mark the Additional Notification checkbox, too. Type the email address where you want to receive the notifications.

Lastly, click on the Import Reviews button to finish the process. Now, ReviewXpo will automatically import the reviews for you and will email you when the process is done.

There is another method you can follow to import the reviews from Aliexpress to Shopify.

The method is copying the product URL and pasting it.

Here is the detailed step-by-step guide on how to import Aliexpress reviews to Shopify using the product URL:

‍Step 1: Copy Aliexpress product URL
‍First, go to the Aliexpress product page from where you want to import the reviews. Then, copy the product URL from the address bar of the browser.

‍Step 2: Paste the URL to ReviewXpo
‍Now, log in to your Shopify account and go to the ReviewXpo dashboard from the Apps section.

From the menu, go to Import & Export > Aliexpress Import. It will open a new page.

On the top, you will find the Import by Product URL option. Paste the product link here.

‍Step 3: Modify settings to import reviews to Shopify
‍Lastly, click on Start Import, and a popup box will appear.

First, search and select the product on your store where you want to import the reviews.

Then, select the rating criteria as per your requirements.

After that, you have the option to import reviews only from a particular country or from all countries. Unless your target customers are from a single country, it is better to select All countries.

In case you select All countries, there is an option to translate the review of other languages to English. You can mark this option if you want ReviewXpo to translate them.

Then, mark the Auto Publish option and click on Preview Reviews.

Based on selected criteria, it will show you the reviews and you can select which review to Import in your Shopify store and which one to reject.

Once you are done selecting the reviews to import, click on the Finish Importing button to conclude the process.

A new popup box will appear. You can click on the View Imported Reviews to ensure the reviews are appearing on your Shopify store.

Import Aliexpress Reviews to Shopify Using .CSV file (Manual & Hassling)

The last method is to import the Aliexpress review using a .CSV file.

It is an alternative option if you do not have the ReviewXpo app installed yet or don't want a premium service.

But you will need Shopify’s Product review app installed on your store.

Unfortunately, since September 5, 2023, the app is no longer available for installation. But if you already installed the app before that date, you still can use it.

Here is the step-by-step guide on how to import Aliexpress reviews to Shopify using .CSV file with the product review app:

‍Step 1: Download .CSV template
‍First, log in to your Shopify account and go to Product Reviews from the apps section. Then go to Settings.

Here, you will see some buttons, including Import and Export. Click on the Export button, and it will download a .CSV file.

The file will include the reviews that you already have on your store. You can use it as a template for importing the Aliexpress reviews.

But if you do not have any reviews on your store yet, then you can create an Excel file and later convert it to .CSV file.

‍Step 2: Copy & paste Aliexpress reviews to the template

‍Now, go to Aliexperess and find the product from which you want to export the reviews.

Then copy all the reviews and paste them to the .CSV file or to the Excel sheet.

Create separate files for different products.

If you are doing this step on an Excel sheet, then convert it to .CSV format once you are done with copying the reviews.

‍Step 3: Import to your Shopify store
‍Lastly, return to the page from where you downloaded the .CSV file.

This time, click on the Import button. A dialogue box will pop up. Click on Choose files and select the .CSV file.

Then click on Import Reviews to start the importing process. You will receive an email once the importing is done.

‍Note: It will only upload the reviews you copied and will not automatically update any reviews from Aliexpress.

This method is quite time-consuming and hassling. Plus, it limits the ability to automatically update reviews from Aliexpress.
